Intro

Built on Commercial Roots.

Bred for Real-World Performance.

At Broken S Land and Cattle, we started where most of our customers are — running commercial cows on working land. That background shapes everything about how we select, develop, and sell cattle. We know what it takes for a bull to hold up through a full breeding season, cover cows efficiently, and keep performing year after year. That's the standard we hold every animal to before he ever leaves our place.

We specialize in red SimAngus genetics in a market dominated by black cattle, not because it's trendy, but because we believe in what these animals produce. Our program was built on commercial roots, and the cattle we sell reflect that. If you're a cattleman who's tired of bulls that fall apart or feet that won't hold up on real ground, you're in the right place.

Bull Sales

Two-year-old bulls ready to work. Our bulls are developed on a practical feeding program — no overfeeding or excess conditioning that leaves them soft and unsound in the pasture. They go to work and stay at work.

Replacement Females

Quality red SimAngus heifers and cows selected for fertility, structure, and maternal traits. Built for operations that need females that breed back and raise good calves.

Feeder Calves & Beef

Feeder calves with the genetics to perform on feed and grade well. We also offer beef direct — raised right, from cattle we're proud to put our name on.

Why Choose Us

Genetics With Practical Roots — and Something for Every Kind of Cattleman

Forty-plus years of ranching will teach you what actually matters: cattle that hold up, females that last, bulls that go to work, and genetics that make sense in the real world. We built our program with practical ranching roots, but our cattle are developed to fit a wide range of goals — from commercial herds to seedstock programs to buyers looking for quality cattle with balance, performance, and eye appeal.

Red SimAngus Genetics You Won't Find Everywhere

Most operations run black cattle. We run red SimAngus — predominantly red, with some black — because we believe in the genetic package these cattle carry. Red SimAngus cattle offer hybrid vigor, solid growth, maternal value, and the kind of carcass quality that matters on the other end. For buyers looking for something different without giving up function, this is a strong place to start.

Bulls Developed the Right Way

Overhead-fed, over-conditioned bulls are one of the biggest problems in the seedstock industry. Soft bulls with bad feet fall apart in the breeding season — and that costs you cows. We develop our bulls on a practical program that keeps them sound, athletic, and ready to cover cows when it counts. What you see is what you get, and what you get will work.

We Stand Behind What We Sell

We started as commercial cattlemen. We understand what's at stake when you're buying genetics to build your herd. That's why we stand behind our cattle, offer free delivery, and sell bulls that will breed more cows for more years. Two-year-old bulls have a longer, more productive career ahead of them — and that's a better investment for your operation.

We sell bulls that can do the job — not bulls that look good in a pen and fall apart in the pasture. We've been in this business long enough to know the difference, and our customers deserve cattle they can count on.

Reviews

A Reputation Built on Repeat Business

We've been in this industry long enough to know that the best advertisement is a bull that works and a customer who comes back. We're proud that most of our business comes through word of mouth from cattlemen who've seen what our genetics can do.

FAQs

Questions About Building? We’ve Got Answers.

Building a home or renovation project comes with important decisions. We’ve answered some of the most common questions to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

What makes your bulls different from what I'd find elsewhere?

Two things mainly — the genetics and the development program. We run predominantly red SimAngus in a mostly black market, and we develop our bulls on a practical feeding program that keeps them sound and ready to work. We're not building show bulls. We're building working bulls.

How do volume discounts work?

Bull discounts start when you buy two or more. 2 bulls = 2% off, 3 bulls = 3% off, and it goes up from there to a maximum of 5% off at five bulls.

Do you offer delivery?

Yes — free delivery is included with your purchase.

What information do you need when I contact you?

Name, phone number, and a little bit about your cowherd makeup — how many cows, what you're currently running, that kind of thing. It helps us point you in the right direction from the start.
